Les 2 triangles ne sont pas des triangles. Observez, les points A, D, G : Ils ne sont pas alignés.
En effet, la pente de l'hypoténuse du triangle ADB est differente de celle du triangle DGE : Le point D se trouverait à droite de AG s'il nous prenait l'envie d la tracer. Il en est de
même pour le point F.
De ce fait, la figure ACFGD a une surface inférieure à un triangle ACG imaginaire. De même, sur le deuxième triangle, les points HJL, et IKL ne sont pas aligné.Du fait
que le premier triangle a une surface inférieure à celle d'un vrai triangle et le deuxième à une surface supérieure, il est don normal de trouvé un différence entre les 2
triangles.

Le roi choisit au hazard trois pierres pour la plateau de gauche et trois pour le plateau de
droite.
Si les plateaux sont en équilibre, la fausse pierre (qui est plus lourde) est dans l'une des trois autres ( le
trio lourd). Si, evidement , un plateau pèse plus lourd, le roi sait que la fausse pierre s'y trouve...
Une fois qui a déterminé le trio contenant la pierre fausse, le roi dépose une pierre du trio sur un plateau ,
et une autre sur le 2eme plateau. Si les plateaux sont en équilibre, il peut en déduire que la pierre fausse est la 3eme du trio. Si en revanche, un plateau est plus lourd, cela signifie
que la fausse pierre s'y trouve...

Les 2 hommes doivent pencher le tonnelet jusqu'a ce que le vin atteigne le bord, puis regarder le fond du baril.
Si le vin recouvre entièrement la base, même un peu plus, c'est qu'il remplit plus de la moitieé du tonnelet; en revanche , si l'on voit une partie de la base du tonnelet, c'est que le vin en
rempli moins de la moitié...
